About Us

Ralph Petley-Jones was educated in Nova Scotia and Ontario. He achieved his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law degree from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1980 and has practiced in Nanaimo, British Columbia since 1981. Ralph attends education courses, particularly in the areas of wills and estates. In fact, Ralph has attended virtually all of the courses offered in this area in the last number of years.

Ralph has been involved in many community organizations. He has been Secretary of the Rotary Club of Nanaimo North, trustee of the Nanaimo School Board, and a director of the Nanaimo Mountain Bike Club. He is involved in mountain biking, skiing, running, climbing and windsurfing.

Ralph has represented the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and major financial institutions. Ralph represents almost 100 small and medium sized business corporations as their registered office. Ralph main areas of practice are wills and estates, business and real estate. He also has extensive training in mediation. His motivation is to provide an innovative and practical solution to your legal concern.

Linda Farthing has worked as Ralph's Legal Assistant since 1983. Prior to that she worked in Frank Ney's Notary Office. She has extensive experience in conveyancing, business, wills and estates. She has attended Continuing Legal Education courses in these as well as other areas. Linda loves dogs and spends her recreational time geocaching.
